Recently I was browsing in a small shop, discussing with the shop owner a purchase that I
was considering. Toward the end of our conversation, she looked at me and said “My
husband is a walk-in”. This really had nothing to do with what we were discussing and
normally this would have peaked my interest and I would’ve said “Oh really. Tell me about
it”. Not that day though. Guess I just wasn’t in the mood to be diverted into another
conversation so I mad my purchase and left. I got thinking on this though, after I got home
and wondered. Why would anyone want to be a walk-in anyway? I mean, the reason most
don’t want to end our physical life here and continue the journey on to the “other side” is
because we are attached to those that we love and maybe things that we love about this
life. Right? Guess I’ve known people who were just flat out afraid of death as well. But if you
became a walk-in, then you would be leaving all that you cared about anyway and trying to fit
in to a new life. So what’s that about? Anyway, the more I thought on it, the more I decided
to research this a bit. Maybe make some sense out of it. The following is a little of what I
learned.
Description: classic walk-ins, soul exchanges take place when one soul walks
out of their body and leaves forever and another soul walks in and stays for the rest of that
body’s natural life.
The apparent driving force behind it - one soul is ready to leave so why waste a perfectly
good body and mind, so one walks out and one walks in.
Some believe that they are people who have spiritual work to do in the physical world,
others believe that are advanced souls who have great love for the Earth and have agreed
to come now and assist the transition of the Earth into a New Age. Another belief is that
they are people from other dimensions who have walked into the body of a person here on
Earth and that there is contact made before the host or original soul is born, in order for this
to occur later on. Lastly, I read that there are those who believe that this is a demonic
occurrence and therefore, there would be a very dark purpose behind this.
All are agreed that the process of walking-in can be very quick and easy however, the
adjustment period can be very difficult for the walk-in as well as family and friends who don’t
seem to know who their loved one is anymore. Apparently divorce is not uncommon as not
only does family not recognize this person anymore, this person doesn’t seem to recognize
themselves. Many changes can occur such as change in belief or belief systems, problem
solving, interests and hobbies, talents and the overall way they look at life. Many report that
they have feelings of needing to accomplish a particular purpose in life.
There is a large number who believe that walk-ins have always existed but that a much
larger number of them are incoming at this time due to a changing consciousness of the
world at this time and what is soon to come. The belief is that their purpose is to help move
the planet to a higher spiritual perspective.
So, I guess I found out that there seems to be a belief in a much larger purpose for the
walk-in than I was aware of. My thoughts were more along the line of: someone just wasn’t
ready to go and saw the opportunity to continue on in another body as opposed to crossing
over or just hanging around and haunting those that are still here. After having worked much
with the dying, I do feel that our body is not “us”. It’s just the container or vessel for our time
here but I gotta tell you that when I’m done with this container I cannot envision wanting to
jump into another. Not me. What do you think?
